Elderon banged out twelve hits
and had five homers as they defeated the Tigers.
The WhiskeyJacks took a 1-0 lead
in the first inning on a solo homer by Marv Meronk. They upped their
lead to 2-0 in the second when Justin Meronk homered. The winners
added two more runs in the third when Matt Meronk delivered a two-run
double.
Tigerton scored a run in
the fourth to cut the lead to 4-1 as Eric Kroening homered but
that was as close as the Tigers would get. Elderon scored five times
in the fifth on an RBI single by Troy Leiskau and a Grand Slam homer
by Randy Printz to move in front 9-1 and never looked back.
The WhiskeyJacks concluded their
scoring in the seventh as Leiskau belted a two-run homer and
Printz followed with a solo shot to right.
Tigerton's final run came in the
eighth when Brad Breaker delivered a run scoring single with the
bases loaded to drive in Eric Gendusa.
Rick Boda was the winning
pitcher. He worked seven innings allowing just two hits while
striking out five and walking three. Marv Meronk finished for the
WhiskeyJacks allowing a run on three hits.
Nick Desrochers took the loss.
Paul Sellner and Eric Gendusa also hurled for the Tigers. They
allowed 12 hits, fanned four and walked five.
Randy Printz led the Elderon
attack going 2 for 3 with two homers and five RBI. Matt Meronk was 2
for 4 with a double an two RBI. Troy Leiskau was 2 for 4 with a homer
and three BRI. Marv Meronk and Justin Meronk each had a home run
while Kasey Morgan and Mike Lehman also had hits for the winners.
Eric Kroening led the Tigerton
offense going 2 for 4 with a homer and an RBI. Brad Bresker had a hit
and an RBI, and Jon Berg and Shawn Much each had a hit. Eric
Gendusa walked four times.
Elderon played errorless ball
while Tigerton committed three fielding miscues accounting for five
unearned runs.

WESTERN DIVISION Finals
Leopolis 3 @ Tigerton 11
Tigerton held a slim 4-1 lead after five innings, but
put the game away for good with a five run cluster in the six and
then added two insurance runs in the seventh as they led 11-1.
Leopolis scored two in the ninth to make the final margin 11-3.
Nick Desrochers was the winning
pitcher working 6-2/3 innings. Justin Reminger took the loss after
relieving Huter Hoffman in the fourth.
Dylan Berg lead the Tigers going
3 for 4 with a double and four RBI. Jon Berg was 3 for 5 with a homer
and three RBI, Eric Kroening, Neil Hoffman and Cory Desrochers also
homered for the winners.
For Leopolis, Tyler Dillenberg
was 2 for 4 with a double, Kyle Hoffman was 2 for 4 with a home run
and Bryce Rodriguez was 2 for 3.
EASTERN DIVISION Finals
Neopit 2 @ Clintonville 5
Clintonville jumped out to a 2-0 first inning
lead and added another in the fourth to move in front 3-0.
Neopit scored twice in the fifth to cut the margin to 3-2 but could
get no closer. The winners scored a pair of insurance runs in the
seventh.
John Dunlavy was the winning
pitcher scattering nine hits. Wil Corn took the loss allowing a dozen
hits.
Ryan Ebert was 3 for 4 and Andy
Heiman was 2 for 3 to lead the winners.
Anthony Leman was 3 for 5 and
Brandon Frechette was 3 for 4 for Neopit.

NORTHERN Finals
Aniwa 2 @ Elderon 12
Elderon jumped out to a 7-0 first inning lead and never looked
back as the blasted Aniwa. The winners addded a four run cluster in
the fifth and scored their final run in the seventh. Aniwa scored
single runs in the seventh and ninth.
Rick Boda was the winning
pitcher working five innings while allowing just two hits. He fanned
nine and walked three. Denton Mortenson took the loss allowing
11 hits in four innings.
Rob Wyman led the WhiskeyJacks
going 2 for 3 with a Grand Slam Home Run. Troy Leiskau was 2 for 3
with a Home Run, Marv Meronk was 2 for 4, and Mike Lehman and Randy
Printz homered.
For Aniwa, Brian Hoppe was 2 for
3 and Luke nowinsky had a double.

complete game four-hitter as the Pterodactyles upset the Lakeman.
Heinrich fanned nine. David Yeska took the loss working seven innings
while allowing five hits.
Brian Brom's RBI single in the
6th gave Plover the only run they would need. Derek Lemmens, who went
2 for 3, homered to give the winners an insurance run in the ninth.
Kevin Malnory added a double for the winners.
